Hi just a quickie atually, where is the chassis number on the MK indy chassis please...
Rob
Rob, a thing you should have checked out before you bought it
Should be visable from the offside engine bay, usually stamped on the top rail or at the front top rail.
This would have been stamped by the original builder of the car check also the floor. cheers D
Would a car built for track only have a chassis no?. I thought you just needed one to get your docs from dvla.
There is no requirement for a chassis number on a track only car.
Phil
Mine is a factory built race car, the guy i got it off bought direct from factory its the actual car in the MK brouchures for the Indy..
Just cant find one thats all, ive all bills of sale and stuff its just would of liked to see if it actually had one or not thats all...
So where should it be ??
Under nose cone top rail or side to side top rail etc.
where on floor powder coating is that thick cant see anything unless im looking in wrong place like..
MK didn't start putting them on chassis' themselves until 12-18 months ago I think? Mine's 2 years old and I had to do my own
right did'nt know that ..
So what did you do make your own up ?
Could use a donor chassis number and reg and register it lol... save the iva carry on..

Hope you are joking.......... The latest ANPR system tells the police exactly what car should have the number plate and whether it has insurance and
tax
I had my VIN allocated by Leeds DVLA, they insisted on it, but seems not all DVLA centres are the same.
Snapper - yeah just joking mate
I would of thought every chassis produced would of had a number me like even if its just a build number or something...
