quick rack for MK Indy
silky16v - 10/6/10 at 11:37 AM

Is it a simple case of buying a quick rack kit and swapping it over, or do i need to have the rack modified again to allow fitment.

I currently have the sierra rack with 4.5 turn to turn which is already modified by MK

i've seen the kit i i need from Rally Design and can do the work myself

Thanks

yes you can get rack extensions to add to the quick rack and then just fit and your off.

should be simple.

you maybe able to by a quick rack with the arms at the right length.

is the quick rack designed for a seven ? if not you will have to cut it down and have 1 end drilled and tapped to allow you to fit the track control arm. a local engineer will be able to do it.

Like Austin Man says, you can buy the quick rack internal but it would need to be cut down, re-drilled and tapped. I'd doubt that it would be pre-cut to length, as all sevens are different and the length of the rack is critical to avoid bumpsteer.

You can then simply remove the old rack from the housing and replace with the quick rack. Pictures and words...........
