Just a thought, any MK builders out there registering their car as "new" why not do it at Milton Keynes and get an MK reg number ???

Does Milton Keynes have MK plates, i know the luton area uses K then A-K or something. I think they just use random letters, MK might be an exception though.

Milton Keynes is KV and local Northampton (where I got my car registered) is KN. MK must be somewhere though?

I was pleased I didn't get an '03 plate (KN03) - don't fancy having the word knob on my car

ide seen plenty of MK reg's about and guessed Milton, i guessed wrong, but i,m sure like you say the letters do relate to where its registered and not random.

When i said random, i meant not related to how the place is spelt. There is some logical way of doing it.

When they launched the new plates i remember reading in the paper, that Ford around the area were expecting more people to come to luton to by their KAs so they could get a KA plate.

MK would be Manchester/Merseyside - that is what the M stands for.

I have a full list somewhere, and I think it is on the DVLA website.
