anyone know roughly what a full cage would cost fitted to my indy?
i had a pretty major shunt in my tin top early this summer and it completely put me off my indy due to the safety aspects of it to the point i put it
up for sale, thankfully though no one bought it so it's still sat in my dads garage and after seeing a few of them out and about again i'm
really wanting to keep it and get back into it next summer but would like a little added safety with it so thought about a cage. my welding isn't
great though and seeing as it's with safety in mind i'd rather not take a chance with it so thinking of farming the job out.
so basically wondering what sort of price i'm looking at and who should i talk to about doing it?
I enquired at Raw about my Striker last year; they estimated £5-600 fitted, but thats an off the shelf job.
Try giving MK a call.
I knocked mine up myself for the cost of the stell and a few minutes on the bender
Mine cost about £160 in material (most of that postage!) Inc all bends where I wanted them, all cut and fitted/welded in my garage (same design as the MK one see my profile,I also had a thread of each stage if you search my name) very doable at home to save money :-)

u2u procomp on here or call them via the details on the web - they can do as much or little as you want them too.
(if you want the full FIA cert cage they'll have to do all the fitting)
My understanding (none of it from first hand experience) is that you can count on two fingers, the number of manufacturers of FIA certified cages for locost style cars, and Procomp is one of them. I may be wrong, but I do think it might be worth a call.
