Does anyone know how easy it is to fit a bmw 325i engine into a mk indy. doesnt seem to be to many about and wondered why, they are a good price and as they are rear wheel drive so it looks a good choice or am i missing something?

The Luego Viento Chassis is sized and spec'd for BMW engines. Its definately big enough Engine bay wise.

as mentioned in this thread, its the sump thats the issue. I'm putting a 2.8 into a Viento and the attached picture shows what I had to do to
the sump to get it in. Not too big a job, and I worked out that the loss of oil volume is less than the difference between the top and bottom fill
levels on the dip stick, so no problem.
PS thanks for the question - it makes a change for me to be able to answer one rather than asking them all the time!
