Does anyone no which way the mushroom inserts in the front uprights are ment to face, mine are facing towards inwards to the left as if they are facing the headlights, ive read afew different things, most say they are ment to face towards the front of the car, When u adjust these it adjusts the KPI does anyone no what the kpi is ment to be set at or is everyone just guessing, If they was facing the front of the car that would mean you have more KPI and the car would be more stable in a straight line at high speed but the car wouldnt turn in as fast, If you had them facing the rear of the car which means less KPI the car would turn in faster but would be less stable in a straight line at high speeds which would throw you all over the road, Thats why i set mine inbetween so i have best of both worlds but im just guessing, can anyone help, Thanks
The holes go towards the front.
This helps with self centreing.
Cheers
Mark
Hi mate thanks for that, from what i have read on internet that seems to be where everyone puts them, think ill change mine at weekend, thanks again
And it doesn't adjust the KPI, there are dozens of threads on here that explain why.
Other way round: it will change the KPI v camber relationship but will not effect the caster angle. It also has a small effect on trail.

i was told to adjust the trail you need to adjust the castor to do it, can someone explain
Caster angle gives trail effect BUT you can have physical trail with zero caster angle ie. shopping trolley casters have trail but no caster
angle.

Well this just shows that people on here dont no what they are talking about, When you turn the mushroom it adjusts the kpi(caster). I have just spoke to MK and they comfirmed that is exactly what is does
