Calipers and wheels
Rogthebandit - 22/6/12 at 05:52 AM

Hi

I have finally saved some pennies up and am after a set of 13inch team dynamic wheels and a set os wilwood front brakes for my mk indy. I have 2 sets of front uprights. I can use either depending on what fits. I have uprights from a 4x4 and from a standard sierra. I have been looking at these on ebay but havent got a clue which ones to buy. Advice would be very welcome on where to get them from or who to speak to?

Cheers
Rog

4x4 uprights aren't any use to you. Use the standard uprights.

Wilwoods I can get you discount straight out of rally design, I did a bulk buy ages ago, but they still allow my discount.

Let me know what you want, probably sierra fitment powerlites. Discs, brackets, pads and calipers.

Hi Ben

I am after the lot realy to fit the standard uprights. I am planning on fitting TEAM DYNAMICS PRO-RACE 1.2 ALLOYs 13". Will these be suitable with the brakes? Can you get the wheels? If so what price can you do the lot?

Cheers

No i can get the RMD wheels but they only come in 15's

The wilwoods are £305 inc postage.

You get powerlite calipers, discs (£30 for grooved), pads(not included on RD website), fitting kit and vat(not included on RD)

Oh and they fit inside 13 inch wheels

Anyone know if the standard build calipers are from a Cortina or a Sierra ? I want to order new front pads but have to work out what they actually are. Car was built in 2004.

Sierra hub has a mushroom adapter at the top instead of the original shock.

Thats a cortina hub

Just want to say a big thanks to Ben for sorting the brakes out for me and to Mark at Mac1 for sorting the wheels and tyre.

I can recommend both

Cheers guys

Hello Ben,
What spec is the kit, vented/solid/size of discs and what make of pads would that be? my car (classic mini) has sierra hubs and would weigh about 550kgs. ish and has 6x13" minators

Cheers
David

Solid discs (£30 for grooved) and smart pads. Plenty for your mini.
