Whens the next one? I fancy a go.

mookaloid - 19/9/04 at 09:28 PM

Well done mate. At least that hill is wider than Doune. Went to watch today and its bloody tight. Was dry most the day then heaven opened up and the nutters were still pushing hard. A few bent wishbones in the meadow and a cosworth Seirra that dropped is propshaft in a shower of sparks!
That was the championships all wrapped up for the year.

you certainly don't want to get it wrong on that track!!

Mark - still grinning from ear to ear

mangogrooveworkshop - 19/9/04 at 09:38 PM

Some nice machinery went up the hill including a guy in his mondeo!
This is at the esses look at the position of that first tree.

Cheers Tony,

You must have some good gear to take those! were you the guy with the big grey lens?

Mark

andyps - 21/9/04 at 08:36 PM

I will be adding some pictures from the weekend to the Harewood website tomorrow hopefully. Not sure if there is one of your car as I haven't looked at what I have been sent yet.

Tony - I will be using some of yours again, many thanks for them, some really good pics.

mookaloid - 21/9/04 at 09:16 PM

Hi Andy,

I understand that there may be a video of proceedings at Harewood for the weekend available do you know anything about it?

Cheers

Mark

mk blade - 21/9/04 at 10:00 PM

Sorry Mark had a good look through all the pics i took and that was the only one of your car.

I cant believe it over 700 pic and only one of you, i was sure there were more.

And no i was not the guy with the big white lens, i was one of the ones with a small white lens. That big white lens was a 400mm F2.8 and they currently sell for over £5000 i can only dream of things like that.

Tony.

Andy thanks again for using some pics.

Ouch! I think the small white lens did a great job!

ned - 22/9/04 at 08:54 AM

mookaliod,

don't mean to offend but you appear to have quite a bit of bodyroll in your first pic, have you considered stiffer springing to help with cornering? mk are also doing an arb now as well which might be worth considering..

Ned.

andyps - 22/9/04 at 08:59 AM

Mark

Video at Harewood is done by Mad Video - short clip on their website but you don't feature (usually a good thing as they include the bits people got wrong for that!).

mookaloid - 22/9/04 at 09:20 AM

Thanks for that Andy I'll Have a look

Ned, I think it's an optical illusion caused by me being up on the kerb if you look at the front wings in relation to the headlights they are pretty level

thanks for the arb tip off

Mark

If cars get close enough for that we have big problems!! One car at a time on hillclimbs. Actually, at Harewood it is four and occasionally 5 cars at any time, but spaced out.

andyps - 22/9/04 at 06:28 PM

Mark - just so I put the right words against a photo of you on th Harewood website, was this your first hillclimb?

mookaloid - 22/9/04 at 09:35 PM

Hi Andy,

Yes it was my first time and I'll definitely be back next year

p.s. had a look and the caption is spot on.. only thing is the pictures don't seem to be there at the moment

Cheers

Mark

andyps - 23/9/04 at 09:18 PM

Just checked and they seem to be there to me. I was worried I forgot to post tehm, but just checked from a different machine to the one I use for creating and uploading so they should be OK.

mookaloid - 24/9/04 at 03:22 AM

Still struggling - Can everyone else see the pictures here please?

andyps - 25/9/04 at 04:39 PM

I'll look into it.

Andy

mk blade - 27/9/04 at 05:37 PM

Hi Andy just a note

It looks like its only the gallaries on http://www.barc.net/ site are not working correctly.

The one on http://www.harewoodhill.co.uk/ are working ok.

Tony.

andyps - 27/9/04 at 09:40 PM

Thanks Tony,

At least that tell me where this is happening, but I have absolutely no idea why that would be. I will speak to the person at BARC who is responsible and see what he thinks. I look after it through the harewoodhill.co.uk bit so leave the barc bit alone.

[Edited on 27/9/04 by andyps]

mookaloid - 27/9/04 at 09:50 PM

Ah that's better well spotted Tony

andyps - 27/9/04 at 10:05 PM

I never look via barc, always straight into the Harewood bit. Will let you know the outcome.

mookaloid - 27/9/04 at 10:11 PM

I didn't realise there was a difference

Well chuffed now though, I can email the link to my pals and rellies

Thanks Andy, looking forward to meeting you next year.

andyps - 28/9/04 at 07:19 PM

The barc lik seems to be working now too. All down to the fact that when looking through there the site was not going down the levels far enough to find the directory with the pics in. Lots of tidying up of the site needed before next season!
