a few questions (3 of em!)
john_p_b - 7/10/04 at 03:30 PM

yep sorry yet more questions!

ok first off, should my pinto be sitting at a angle? i.e. the front of the engine is lower than the back of it? hadn't taken a blind bit of notice until i put the inlet manifold and carb on it today and noticed how to lovely shiny filter leans to the front. is this just how they are or do i need to alter the rear gearbox mount so it changes the angle the engine sits at?

second question. what throttle cable do you guys use and how do you link it up? is it just the standard sierra item with a moddified link at the pedal end? if so where do i get the link from?

third question, same as the second one really but regarding the clutch cable. what do i need to get to adapt it to the mk pedals? also how do i get some adjustment in it?

sorry for all the questions i'm posting lately, just i been spending a good few hours a day in the garage and some guidence is needed here and there!

thanks once again

john

I havenīt thought about the angle of the engine. Iīll have a look tomorrow if I can remember that (party tonight )

I bought the clutchcable made for Ford Cortina, itīs adjusteble.

The throttlecable is Sierrra standard with slight adjustment.

Iīll see if I can put pics in my archive

The engine leans a little forward, thatīs right.

The clutchcable I used is part no BB11010C from Burton Power

And the throttle cable I used from the Sierra, I just shortened it.
