Anyone found a small battery with enough guts to turn 2ltr engine. I'm looking for something just to get the engine started as the 90A mondeo alternator will take care of all the rest once it's running. I know all 12v car batteries will turn the engine but it's the cranking ability rather than the overall capacity I am interested in.
What do you call small mate?
I've used a Cavalier 2.0 which is quite compact, do you want me to measure it?
Cheers
Chris
I know w**tfields use a motorcycle battery in there 1.8L you could ask them if a bike battery will go in the 2.0L I think a goldwing battery is about the biggest rating.
Thanks for replys. Just found a battery in local COSTCO supermarket for 1.8 Nissan which is the same hight/width as current Sierra battery but half the depth and at £20 worth a try. Can't see me having to do much starting during winter so should be up to the job.
