Sierra Steel Wheels
donut - 4/10/02 at 02:41 PM

Are all sierra steel wheels the same width? I saw a se7en with some on and they looked very nice and would suit me until i can afford decent alloys. (money saved is money spent on something else to get the car on the road quicker!)

If anyone in the South East has some going v.cheap i would be interested in buying them.

sierra steel wheels are a bit on the thin side ally capri 4 spokes are better and you can put fat rubber on them i think i might
have 2 kicking about that you can have for
free but you will have to come to fareham in hants and get them ok.

Thanks for the offer but i'm sure i can pick up some cheapy wheels localy. Actually i'm going to Peas Pottage which is a HUGE breakers next week so i'll have a look see what they have.

I do remember ford producing some super wide RS alloys for a special capri, now they would be good!

rs seven spokes 7"wide offset might be to wide you can pick up a set for about £150
the brooklands capri had these in 15" but
cost about £400 i spoke to martin about this
and he told me that mondeo and focus wheels
have the right offset i am going for 17" with
a 50 offset

Modeo / Focus wheels....Hmmmmmm now theirs a thought! Thats good to hear actually, at least i know what to go for now if i do go for steels.

One thing i hate is the rear wheels being lost under the rear arches like the Caterham and Westfields. All the Indy's i have seen have their wheels filling the rear arches. I always asumed this was due to the wide Sierra track?

Thanks very much for that
