Got an excellent clutch cable from Marc at MNR for the indyblade but am having a bit of trouble where it goes through the footwell and onto the pedal.

The inner cable seems to be too long and I wondered if anyone else had used this cable on their Indy.

There's nothing wrong with the cable it's excellent quality but I just need to think how best to shorten fix it. I think I can cut it and use a solderless nipple but it just seems a waste when it's got a nice rose joint to connect it to the pedal.

Could shorten the other end but not sure how easy it is to solder a new nipple on.

Any helpsuggestions very welcome!!

Will the rose joint bit fit through the cable tube on the bulkhead then?
I presume the engine end is correct for th clutch actuator arm.
Is the idea to bolt the rosejoint to the pedal end?
Fitting nipples isnt difficult, the worst bit is getting the cable clean enough to take solder

Had the same problem. Cut the other end (engine end) and found a boat rigger to swage a nipple back on at the shorter length. Some traditional bike shops may also do it. Agreed the cable is fine and very smooth action.

The rose joint unscrews so that you can pass it through the bulkhead hole. I have a small PTFE tophat that I am going to thread the cable into to keep it all secure.

Think I may cut the cable at the engine end and either solder on a new nipple or pit two solderless nipples on just to be sure, won't look perfect but should do the job.
