Hi guys
Been fitting my side panels this week and have noticed quite a considerable gap between the floor and side panel where it tucks underneath. Is this
how it is ment to be???
Have people had this same issue and if so what solutions have u come up with?
I will be securing the top panel to the upper chassis rails with rivnuts as want to be able to remove the panels easily at a later date if
required.
Thanks for time.
Also pics would be good. I'll try and put some pics up of mine with the issue.
Regards
Ian

Is the floor panel fitted to the chassis yet?
What do you call considerable? Some people think 2mm is considerable so just trying to get a feel for the issue.
Nice to see another car being built in kent.
If i remember right i put 3mm alloy moulding between floor and the side panels
I have sold the car now so can't look for you

Hi I just fitted my side panel to my indy rr and yes it's a good 2-3mm gap , I had to use a washer on one to stop it from pulling it too far up
.
You could slip a washer up each pop rivet
My pop rivets from the floor were quite large so they rested onto the sided panel a bit
Thanks for the ideas guys.
I'm thinking it maybe a bad mould as I've offered the passenger side up and it fits nice and snug.
Here is a couple of pics of the drivers side i am having the issue with:
Is this acceptable?

That's about the same as my Indy, 3-5mm one side, 10-12mm the other. I used short wooden strips at the rivet points.
Not good is it!! Thought they would of sorted that by now.
You'll have to pack it out with Ali strip or similar.
If you need any local help give me a shout!
