Rear Upright to hub carrier
phoenix70 - 15/12/04 at 11:45 AM

Hi,

Does anyone know what size of bolts are used to attach the Sierra hub carrier to the MK Rear upright (Disc Brakes), I kind of assume it is the same as the one that normally attach then to a sierra, but I don't have them.

TIA

Scott

I re-used the ones from my donor Sierra.
I cleaned the threads in the MK uprights after painting and IIRC they were M8 or possibly M10 threads. I think the bolts might be a higher tensile rating than normal, so might be worth sourcing from Ford or at least using 12.9 ton rated socket cap bolts.

Yup original donor ones are probably best! maybe give your local ford dealer a call- i had to buy various odd bolts from Peoples in edinburgh- very helpful and not actually all that expensive!! often have them on the shelf!
