Interesting spelling of "MK Indi" in the text too.
Makes me worry that the owner bought it not knowing what it was or was lied to!
Looks quite a nice build, why go to thar trouble then 'cheat' to get it on the road....
Nice looking 1984 Dutton, what is there not to like?
Some rather fine 'Tax Exempt' coil sprung 'Defenders' on the site too, lovely vehicles.
Just don't get killed/injured/hit by one of these things, you'll receive little recompense from any insurers...

Roll bar goes to back panel on the Zero
Its 100% not a GBS Chassis, however it states a few parts were supplied by GBS so it will look like the Zero...roughly. Guessing an old design chassis, might be an old version of an MK Indy?
I asked the seller to clarify what the car was...... his first response was that it was an MK Indy.
I asked him to confirm what was on the V5......
Here's the reply:
"Hey fella, after a bit of digging about, and a call to dvla, the car has a dutton classic chassis with dutton v5 and vin plates, that's
been converted to the mk Indy, just thought I'd let you know."
Back up for sale with a revised listing
Kit Car
So what would you guys value this at ?
Sod all. It's not registered correctly. Worth the sum of what it can be parted out for.

That ain't a dutton chassis. Not even close to dutton proportions. It's a locost-a-like mish-mash that has aquired a dutton v5.
I'm not saying it's all crap as actually looks a nicely put together car, it just pi55es me off royally that people try to fudge the system
to miss out iva and registration. We are lucky in this country to be able to build cars in our own sheds and then drive them on the road. It will only
take a high profile accident with someone getting killed by one of these ringers and the nimbys will be out in force to get rid of kit cars
altogether.
Wow it would be so easy for somebody with my (lack of) knowledge to fall foul of something like this !!!

Well if your looking to buy this is a very helpful forum. Stick any links up of any cars and you'll get an honest opinion. Lots of very good cars out there but unfortunately there are a few shonky built and illegally registered ones too.
First thing to ask is if it's registered properly and has it been sva/iva'd. It should be registered as what the car is, I.e mk indy or Mac 1 or sylva striker etc. Not a dutton (unless it's a dutton) sierra sports or escort convertible etc.

Exactly. So still requires iva then.
