Fuel tank size

Could someone please tell me the amount of fuel the plastic tanks that mk used to do hold.

I have a 2006 plastic tank supplied by MAC#1, probably very similar to the MK one.

It holds 29 liters of fuel.

What's the benefit to the plastic tanks? My MK has an ally tank.
