I cant comment on either of the cars, but when buying a car ive always Checked the vehicle on Gov.uk for its Mot history, thats always a good indication of how the car has been looked after,

also with a Kit car, checking its registered properly, as so many cars are not, links below

https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history

Seems to be a correctly registered Pintosaurus.
Interestingly, a couple of historic MoT fails on HC emissions, so check the V5 and check there's no emission data on it. It's a Q, the best registration to have, there should be no emission issues at MoT time (my experience with my Q's).
To comment on what they're asking is pointless, a car is worth what you're prepared to pay...

Sportier than the Cat sill very strong money for a Pinto. Again Mk are doing well so spares and upgrades should be no problem.
I don't value my forged Turbo Zetec Mk Indy that high.
But as pointed out it's worth what some one will pay.

I think people are holding fire until

A) better weather ( same every year).

B) lock down. I know I don't fancy driving up and down the country for a toy. Or having people around to view it.

Have you tried Mk direct ? Or other manufacturers. They may know of somthing coming up.

Cheers everybody

ill have a look on MK website, been checking CAT / Westfield regulalry

Because it's a car dealer its 2k over priced.

It's a £6500 car on a very good day.

Standard sierra brakes etc,so it's not a high specced car.

thanks for everybody's input have discounted this MK as price does seem a bit high (and turns out is not a dealer - its somebody that works at a dealers)

If anybody has access to Facebook can you have a look at this one for me:

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/680359865909394/

have checked MOT history which has a few advisories , however the seller says has now been sorted. Had a couple of fails in its life, may indicate an electrical problem (2 issues with lights)

Its a 2.0 VTEC , not sure about the roll cage look, but my be safer for my first car like this !!

As always appreciate any views, still new to this (but picking up tips)

cheers
Toby

The description does not match the car!

No turbo on that engine?

CosKev3 - 30/1/21 at 12:57 PM

It's a Zetec,not a Vtec.

Doesn't really say much about what parts are fitted, for that price it wants to be quite highly specced IMO.

and that is why this forum is so useful

was trying to work my way through the spec sheet and the 535 whp seemed unlikely (or at least very high)

mistake in my typing - meant zetec

FFS !!!

The engine spec on the last page is for the wrong car - thought it looked odd

Ybotc - 30/1/21 at 01:41 PM

seller has now updated with the correct spec, a more reasonable 156bhp

I would bide your time a touch longer.
