I recently purchased an unfinished book MK chassis and was wondering, do MK supply a chassis No when bought new?
The chap I bought from had little/no knowledge of the situation as I don't think he had bought it new either.

I suggest that you contact the DVLA, it may be different for different offices but when I contacted them they sent the necessary forms. An inspector then came round and gave me the VIN number. The forms included the one needed for registration so that getting a registration number needed no more forms filling in... which was nice
