today i finally reached a point where i thought wow it actually is a car! so i decided it was worthy of clearing the garage, pulling it out on the
driveway for a wipe over and thought i'd take some pics while i was at it.
anything you guys see that is blatantly going to fail me a sva then speak up!

Nice car matey, only things i could see are radius on rear view mirror edges(centre mirror), steering wheel centre may need some padding, and are
your headlights high enough??.

side repeaters are sitting in the garage waiting to go on.
the center rear view mirror i bought from SVC with a big sticker on the back saying SVA OK so if it fails on that i'm not going to be happy!
the headlights are bang on with the sva book so they should be ok.
i'd figured on having the lash something up on the steering wheel.
remaining wheel nuts are also still in the garage, wheels need to come off again yet to bleed the brakes.
the grill in the nosecone is like a bloody razor so i'm thinking of meshing that over for sva then sorting it at a later date.
i've still got a few little bits a bobs left to do so all in all not too bad!
That looks very pretty - nice colour too!
One thing that's almost certain to fail is the top of the air filter - favourite fail point with those things. Easily fixable, just something
over the top edge, and nut covers (which may well fall off after the SVA)

glad you brought that up about the filter! was arguing with my dad about it today, i said it'll fail he said it won't! it's a bit gruby too so have been thinking of replacing it with a nice soft foam one and you've just made my mind up now
i suspect the lights are too low in fact, they might conform to the measurements in the manual but they are still obscured by the wheels, ie the visable angles arent there. not the end of the world though if that was the only thing it failed on!
are we talking about the indicators or the actual head lights here? the indicators i admit are possibly going to be a touchy subject but as for the
headlights themselfs they are MK supplied headlights on a MK supplied headlight mounting bar.
i'm getting a little concerned now
John - cover the MK grille with mesh or other suitable material - it will likely fail. Whatever you cover it with usually falls if passed on the
return from the SVA

thats exactly what we have planned for the grill i was actually thinking about a reasonably tight woven mesh in black behind the nice stainless mk

can anyone else shed some light on the headlights? every indy i've seen has lights exactly like mine but now i'm worrying!
headlights are probably ok, but indicators are more dubious. But then again, your repeaters might make up for it definately not an expert answer!

very nice. wouldn't lose any sleep over headlamps if it's an MK bracket and mounted in the recommended mk place can't see it being a
problem every 7 clone i've seen has them mounted in that position visibility angles on indicators might be though... all said and done nice

Headlights look fine to me, about the same position as ours when it passed SVA.
