Ornate Lamda Sensor Blanking Plug...........

Probably the result of a painstaking search for something of the correct thread.......Nice one

Mad Dave - 20/6/05 at 08:16 PM

He probably set off with a bolt in it that fell out on the way to Newark. You should have caught it Chris

Could have used a spark plug. Put a HT lead and cap on it and have everyone baffled .

mangogrooveworkshop - 20/6/05 at 11:24 PM

mmmmmm missing a windscreen......as well.

Looks like he has lost the blanking plug and in a panic found the only thing to plug the hole is a balljoint

Baffled?....just make the car overfuel a little....they'll soon see why the plug's there...

No prizes this time

Come on I know it is difficult but if you squint you might just see it

They do that on loads of bikes too. Crack all the way around the outside of the weld. The trick is to orient the boss in a way its not effected by vibrations as badly. Was this done with the rod end in, if so its not suprising at all.

Mad Dave - 2/7/05 at 03:55 PM

Nope, must try harder

Rorty - 2/7/05 at 10:35 PM

I would braze the boss in.

gazza285 - 2/7/05 at 10:45 PM

Now don't confuse brazing with bronze fillet welding now.
