As I understand it, the Indy wishbone setup is designed for Sierra (modified by MK) front uprights, can the Cortina (Mk5) uprights be substituted with
no modifications or are different wishbones/balljoints required?
If the Cortina stuff can be used I presume MK knock the modification price (of the Sierra uprights) off the kit price?

No - Cortina uprights can't be used with Indy wishbones. The geometry is quite different between the Cortina and Sierra hubs. The MK mod to the
Sierra hubs is to re-drill the bottom ball joint tapered hole to suit the Maxi ball joint which MK have designed into the wishbone/car.
Is there a reason you would want to use Cortina uprights?
If you have a pair of Cortina uprights and you want to build an Indy, sell the uprights for the good money they are worth and use cheap as chips
Sierra hubs.

I don't know how the geometry compares, but the Indy is obviously designed for the Sierra uprights. The good thing is you probably won't
need to overhaul a pair of Sierra hubs other then tidying up the calipers.
As a bonus, the money (~£70-100) you'll get for the Cortina uprights would pay for a nice set of grooved discs to go on the Sierra hubs

or of course use the uprights you have and buy a locost chassis from mk (quite similar to the indy) ask them to make it suitable for a dedion rear
axle so you can use a sierra dif and rear end, I'm sure they'd be willing to sort something out for you!
