Hi Bob and Andy
Do you think I could be an honorary member. Strictly speaking I'm not an owner but I'm definitely a builder! (and my own car has many MK parts fitted!). I'm also the right hand man/pit crew of one of the few MK race teams out there so come on lads, say yes, please?

donut - 24/2/03 at 07:15 PM

Erm...................oooooooh......ummmmm...errrr...oh go on then seeing as you do so much for MK and us too.

Pop your details on the site and i will add you to the list.

Also can you have a word with John Ison as i would like some input for the GT1 especially race results and bit of track side commentary like how it is to drive etc. oh and any photo's of the car in action.

Cheers

Andy

speedthing - 24/2/03 at 08:19 PM

Blimey...give us a chance!!!

We have NO money at the moment so when we start charging to join then you can have your sticker etc!! watch this space

mdc124 - 24/2/03 at 08:59 PM

Guys - Do you have day jobs?

You might have to go part-time to deal with the interest

hang on though this is the 'owners' club though - whats needed? MK chassis? MK Reverse? MK Plastics? or just a penchant for full monty breakfast baps?

[Edited on 24/2/03 by mdc124]

donut - 24/2/03 at 09:03 PM

I think that anyone who has an interest with MK cars can join however you will need to have a car with an MK chassis to get on the club stand at shows.

As for the baps...theres a whole new club there!! anyone interested in starting a northeners breakfast bap club?..the NBBC!

Andy

Hmmmmm
I seem to have opened a can of worms! But you're right donut, without me there's no feedback from the pits no 'insider' info and photo's. Don't forget I'm self employed and can be bought! Everyone has his price! Mine just happens to be valued in pints!!!
p.s Beer courier reqd to ferry refreshments at Stafford! It's thirsty work being on a stand talking nutsack all day!

auzziejim - 24/2/03 at 10:43 PM

il do it if you get me some free-bys with my kit!

Hmmm why do i think that aint gonna happen!

James

bob - 24/2/03 at 11:17 PM

Brilliant response lads,we are truly chuffed.

I think its a bit late for a pitch for any built cars at Stafford, but i will phone limelight exhibitions in the morning and see how it all works.
I saw some indy's at newark and they had to park in the locost area,so we deffinately need a plot for parking.

I've planned to go to Stoneleigh,Brooklands,Newark and Donington for the weekend so hopefully i can get space.
I'm not sure about the other smaller shows,i know myself and andy cant go to all of them but someone else can carry the banner if they want.
Ah the banner thats another thing to sort out

[Edited on 24/2/03 by bob]

skippad - 24/2/03 at 11:38 PM

Bob you mentioned a banner. It just so happens that i'm a signwriter and i might be able to make one. Give me an idea of size and i should be able to sort it out.

donut - 25/2/03 at 07:52 AM

Ooooh this is fantastic, what great response!

As far as joining goes, i guess anyone can join any other club so why not ours! Get in quick though as i think we are going to have to charge soon!

As for membership we have had 18 sign ups yesterday and i have found another 4 this morning. Nice one

If anyone wants to become a comittee member please drop me a line at commitee@mkownersclub.co.uk

Cheers

Andy

Harder than being in a workshop and doing the same?

locodude - 25/2/03 at 07:27 PM

Nope!

bob - 25/2/03 at 07:43 PM

LOL

paulbeyer - 27/2/03 at 11:39 PM

Jesus Christ what has happened in Locostbuilders land in the last few weeks? I've been working in Cannes for nigh on 3 weeks and return to find a new format web site and more specialist subject owners clubs than you can shake a shitty stick at. Anyway I've just signed up to the MK owners club, so a word of warning, if anyone has assumed my role as chief in charge of catering (BBQ bitch) I'll shave my head and go postal.
On Wednesday I'm off to Hanover for 2 weeks so I'll try to bring back some Bratties for the BBQ. No wonder my build is moving slower than a glacier I'm never in the f***ing country long enough to do anything.
