Pinto into Indy: how??
ed_crouch - 5/2/06 at 03:07 PM

Hello everybody.

Are the engine mounting holes pre-drilled in the indy chassis, or is it a case of craning one's Pinto into the bay and measuring between the gearbox output flange and diff flange and drilling holes in the right place etc..???

Ta.

Ed.
P.S. If i have to drill the holes myself, presumably I want the engine as far back as it will go??

Sounds like it depends on when you bought your kit, ours is about 2 years old and I'm sure it had the holes pre- drilled

as was mine.

i picked my chassis up on 31st jan 2004 fwiw. the holes are just in the middle of the plates.

you have to drill your own gearbox mount holes though.

Mine was delivered february 2004 and had the engine mounts hole drilled, but not for the gearbox
