OK, it's my first question, so go easy.
The GT1 photos on the MKOC site (I think?!) show 2 fuel tanks, 1 each side, and vents in the front - the rad?
I'd been thinking of this layout, but wondered what others were planning for fuel tanks and rads.
Also - anyone know any clever ways to route the exhaust easily (and cheaply)?
The one we're building at the moment has 2 rads, one on each side. The tank sits to the n/s of the engine. The exhaust goes underneath the engine and then over the drive shafts, using the std headers. It's a 'Bird engine by the way. I can post some pics if it will help. The one you've seen on the MKOC site has been done by yhe customer (Paul) and a nice job it is too. We have another one to do shortly, an R1 and this also has the std exhaust routed underneath. It really depends which engine you're using. The Blackbird engine looks to be the way to go tho' for ease of fitting.
Dude,
Cheers for that. Perhaps now wish I'd gone Blackbird, but I'm sure my thunderace will be fine.
Anyway, I'd considered standard headers, but need to think about it.
WOndered if plumbing 2 rads was tricky - getting flow right. Is it simply water from engine into rad1, then out into rad 2, then back to engine, or
does there need to be some other tricky method?
Thanks again.
Adam
We're using the 'suck it and see' method. I'll keep you posted.
