Hi
Does anyone have any idea of the thread in the harness brackets 9holes or whatever) on the Indy chassis. I have bought a 7/16 UNF tap but it seems to
be too big?????
Cheers
metric my dear friend, 10mm, everything is metric these days, i'v recently cleaned out the threads on mine after painting
Not mine pal... i tried an M10 bolt and it wobbled like a sausage in an alley way!!! Martin from MK told me it was 7/16ths but he wasn't 100% sure!!!!!
ah!
Harness bolts are 7/16 unf....
Yep mine are 7/16 UNF on my indy.
7/16 unf, std seat belt thread size.
they are 7/16 unf.
Hmmmmmm i must be doing something wrong!!?!? I'll have another go later.
So Martin was right....as usual!
Andy
Which is 11.1125mm if you really want to go metric
You may have got a plug tap instead of a taper tap. A taper tap has a reuced dia to allow the thread to be started.
Seatbelt mounts must be a minimum of 7/16 or 11mm for SVA.
