Hi guys,
Does anyone know is the new Sierra Uprights from raceleda fit the MK indy and if it improves the handling etc,
rg,
Frans
wouldn't have thought so as they are a replacement for the sierra. the problem I am led to beleive with all seven type cars is self centering. it
is not possible to get the angle of the sierra upright back enough hence the use of the mushrooms, I had thought of making wider top mounting brackets
and then shimming them out but the stress on the bottom ball joint ruled that one out ( the angle is to steep and would leave no movement)
The only issue is self centering for the SVA apart from that the indy drives as if it was on rails.

you can get raceleda uprights that use rod ends rather than balljoints, so the angles arent unmanageable. And they should fit the indy just fine
shouldnt they, being sierra fit? (I feel daft saying that to a man whos built 2 indys )
My only concern regarding buying raceleda uprights, is the recent thread regarding picking and mixing different raceleda compontents to pick the best
scrub angles etc - id hate to spend a grand and not get the best setup!
If I was looking at spending a grand personally I'd sooner fit something like willwood brakes and spend a few hundred having the car
proffesionally set-up, bump steer etc
tony
I would hang fire a bit, Martin (MK) as made some front uprights that suit willys etc..........
Just not in production yet as the poor gut is rushed of his feet.
And if your reading this don't forget I am ready for that exhaust, well you said keep reminding me.
