What do people feel about the plastic p-clips? Not up to the job?

carnut - 6/5/03 at 08:48 AM

i personally think they are better as they save weight and look smaller and neat. This is what the likes of Caterham use.

Cool, thats what I wanted to hear! Same thoughts as you, lighter, smaller, neater and a lot cheaper!! Main concern was the strength of them, i.e. will they crack after a while, and would they be an sva fail with that in mind. However, if caterham etc use them then I guess they must be ok.

Cheers. Graham

I wouldn't worry about the strength of plastic P clips, just spend the day taking a Dutton apart(V enjoyable) even after 15+years the clips had to be drilled out.
