Hi all! - I'm now a proud owner of an MK Indy GSXR1000 and thought I'd say hello to you all!

Car's running well at the mo. but just a quick question about my electrics...

My hazard/horn circuit keeps blowing the fuse but I can't find any faults. The only thing I haven't looked at closely is the stalks (Sierra ones). Are they likely to cause problems?

Cant help with the electrics but I can say Welcome..........

Actually I had a little prob with the brake lights blowing a fuse, turned out too be a chaffed wire going too earth from time too time.

Try unpluggnig the horn, does it blow then?

Would eliminate the horn then it'd only leave a wireing or realy fault

It might help if you gave us a clue as to what size fuse it is blowing and what type of horn you have ie. air horn etc.
Hazards will draw aprox 9 amps and single car horn about 4 amps (double this for twins or air horns) therefore you should have at least a 15 amp fuse in this circuit.

I'm afraid I bottled out...I bought a complete build!

MK helped build parts of it (Steve did the loom..his first BEC I think?) and someone else at MK did the exhaust. I think it was one of the first GSXR conversions MK helped with.

It's a 25A that keeps blowing, I have disconnected the horn and it still blows, so I'm sure it's the hazards at fault. Noticed on the way home tonight too that the indicators aren't blinking properly either. More of an extended flicker rather than an "on" "off" "on".

A sticking or blown flasher relay then maybe?

If you can find it it should be quick and easy to swap and try another one.
