I've posted about this before and never got round to sorting it. One of the annoyances on my car is the fuel filler. It will only accept a very
slow flow rate and you can forget filling at the pump, it clicks off all the time or spills out.
Avoiding major surgery to the car it seems I could either (a) lengthen the flexible fuel filler hose slightly or else (b) move the fuel filler into
the "boot" area under the rear tonneau cover.
Does anyone know if (a) would cure the problem or where I can buy some really stiff fuel filler hose onto which I can clamp a screw on filler cap
assembly to achieve (b)?
Have you got a "breather" in your tank ?
I have a breather pipe, fitted with a lovely one way valve. Works a treat. But that's not the issue, even if I remove the breather pipe I still
can't fill the tank at normal pump speeds.
I'm having a go at snoopy's idea. Cheapest option yet I've been carrying a long funnel everywhere.
It's just a problem when the filler is mounted on the egde like I guess yours is. If it's on the top it removes the problem. That's were mine is, and filling takes moments.
