my mk rear silencer is blowing at the tail end do i just drill out the rivets and replace with new.i was going to seal it with exhaust paste when refitting iit all but that stuff is a bit messy .anyone done this job before ??

You can get some high temp silicone sealant for exhaust use which might be easier to use than gun gum type stuff.
