Progress made at last!

I'm now at a stage of not being able to move any further forward with my build until I've got my engine (next weekend), so am looking at tidying up a few parts.

Can anyone post some pics or a description of how the handbrake cable is mounted through the rear of the tunnel - I've tried it a few ways and still not happy with how it fits.

That's the bit - it's the driver side that I was messing about with - did you just jam it into the opening or use a bit of sikaflex?

Well build another then!

Just a thought - is there anything SVA that would prevent using much lighter bike type cables?

I reckon I could probably get some armoured cable covers that would fit over the standard handbbrake cable - would save a load of weight and be far easier to route through the car

I always have these little ideas after I've bought the components!

As long as they reach and won't streth when over applied, as they could be from time to time, then they should be good.

Cheers!

To be honest, the day after this pic, I applied a bead of sikaflex around the floor pan and made a right pigs ear of it. Made worse by the fact I used bright red sikaflex (thought it might look ok and was cheaper than black!).

Might have to see about trimming it away and re-applying with a new tube of black sealant to cover it up.
