I havent spoken to the factory yet but I'm going to order a kit before Christmas, finally got the go ahead from SWMBO to build again 10 years
after completing my first 7.
Question is what is the difference between the two chassis MK produce, if I buy a BEC chassis can I change my mind and fit a car engine and vice
versa?
I assume all dimensions are the same only engine mount points and positions are different.
Can someone enlighten me please?
Cheers.

Hi there
Yes the engine mounts are different and the BEC chassis also has an additional plate on the transmission tunnel to mount the mid bearing of the
prop.
Cheers
Ian
As Ian has correctly pointed out,the bike and car chassis are slightly different, but the best thing to do if you have decided the MK INDY is the car you are building,is to place your order, there's currently about a 6 to 8 week waiting list, you can then ask MK contact you the week before they start your chassis to confirm your specification, you can even delay the building of your chassis if your not quite ready for it,you just need to pay a £100 deposit when you place your order.
so what the differance with the new chassis?

It's gonna be a BEC, build buddy has found us a running Blade engine for sensible money.
6-8 week order time is fine, something for the new year then.
