After deciding on a tiger, I must have read ever post in this forum going back 6 months.
Looking at all your pic's of the Indy it's clear that they are a FAR superior car in respect of the quality of the materials, i.e. chassis
and body.
So how cheap can I build an Indy (car engine version)???
Well done that man. Good choice.
Not sure about a car one but my bike one has cost me a little over £5k.
Thats every penny, I have kept a note of everything,
Steve,
Where are you in SE london ?

I would reckon you should be able to do a car one for similar money, Be patient in the buying of stuff, take your time and the bargains will come
along.
Good luck.

Keep asking questions on here re the car build and where to get the best prices, for inspiration have a look in the photo archive at zetecs car he is
not too far from you.
As for the website i think there was an attempt to give it a bit of colour and re vamp but i think most go to the fsnet site.
Sorry now i've looked at it again the 1st one does have the new car on so it must just the rent is still running on the old one.
By the way, I would invest in the powder coating option, Worth every penny IMO.

I was set on a Robin Hood, until I did some research. Then almost put a deposit down on an Avon at Stoneleigh one year. Luckily I didnt and came on
here and saw all the problems people were having.
Went for an Indy and have never looked back. So much more choice though now. Back then for similar money and quality it was MAC1 or MK, so I went for
the original!
People talk about "The Book" for building.
Which one is it, the Haynes one?
Yes.

I built my 1st Indy for about 4 1/5 grand and it can be done cheaper.
I'd suggest using a single donar sierra, but be choosy about which one, if you choose the right one you will get rear disk brakes etc. Don't
do it the way I did and get bits from here and there and everywhere. So far I've spent £3K on extras, not including chassis, engine wheels seats.
Oh poo!!
By the way get the powder coated chassis.
