I want a quick rack and i see rally design sell the kits for them. i am sure mine is a sierra rack but i need to find out 2 things before i order.
1: is the mk indy sierra rack moddified for this car (except extension)?
2: how are the track control arms fitted? i pulled one of the guators off last night but i cant tell if they are pressed in or screwed on. In other
words, can i diy this from the kit of parts rally design sell.
Anyone?
1. MK indy sierra rack is cut to make it narrower and re welded.
2. I beleive they are screwed (so to speak)
I bought my quick rack through MK. They fitted it when they modifed the rack.
Call MK and see where they but it from?

doubt they are cut and welded
more likely cut and rethreaded but yes you will need it shortening
best regards
marc
cheers. screwed it is then
i will ring mk and get one sorted.
Can't believe it's taken this long!
Would imagine that it'll make a great difference.

If you have access to a lathe, a welder, and a hacksaw, this is a job any man building a Locost from scratch, 'Can Do'. Even the ali housed racks can be home done with a press fit sleeve and pins/tapped locating bolt, instead of a weld.
