MK Indy Radiator

What is the best radiator to use for the Indy? Ive seen on one site they used one from a fiat van.

Im getting closer to ordering my indy, but not sure where to get all the parts from. Is there a site with some links some manufactures websites who can supply with the bits i need to finish my kit.

I was looking at the Tiger Avon as the kit comes with everything you need. Now ive heard bad things about it, ive decided to go for the indy, but im goin to source everything to finish the kit from else where. It seems a bit daunting at the moment, im having visions of me bending windscreens to fit them in place, because i bought a 'universal one' from a random place.

Thanks

Chris

Ive just read the feature on the Indy in this months which kit mag. It says you can get the radiator from MK, it sounds a very uncomplicated build.

Should get it done in an afternoon.

And dont forget http://www.mkownersclub.co.uk

Give us a shout with any Q's,MK2 escort rads are a common fit and can be found at many shows and the polo rad is a good choice and only a touch over £40 brand new.

I have used a Micra rad, as have many others on here.

It can be mounted totally vertical infront of the chassis with 3 simple homemade brackets. Have a look at my website.

Chris

I have used a Fiat Fiorino van rad but the car has yet to be driven so it's unclear at this point if it works properly. It looks about the same size (if maybe a little smaller) as the Mk2 Escort rad so will hopefully work ok. The reason i bought it was because there are threaded bolts already welded to the rad framd so it was dead easy making the mounts. Also it was only £15 at a show so i have to at least try it!!
