MK Indy Uprights and Steering

What does MK actually do to the Sierra Uprights and Steering rack? Is it just widening the bottom hole in the upright, and would it be better to use an Escort Steering rack over a modified Sierra item?

I believe it's magic!

The rack body is shortened and the arms extended with a screwed on "piece"(welding is a no-no on track rods for SVA and MOT)

Using the modded Sierra rack eliminates bump steer.

the steering rack outer casing is shortened, the rack itself is shortened(not a hacksaw job then retapped with the kit you get a pair of extensions to bring it back up to standard sierra track, this is all to do with bump steer and i'm not getting involved in that subject I know f all about the subject all I know is martins done the sums and you won't get any dimensions off me and I doubt off any-one else Martins had too many of his ideas ripped off just read some of the posts.. the top of the sierra upright has an exentric (just like martin) sleeve so you can alter the camber/caster angle

Whats the difference between making your own wishbones and welding your track rods???

Cheers for the answers, looks like I will go for the basic kit rather that just by the chassis and wishbones.
.
Need to finish the garden first though, as that the agreement with the better half.
