MK fuel tank
matt.c - 24/2/07 at 06:44 PM

Am i right in saying that if i have an injection engine (Bike engine) the tank will need a fuel return welded into it?

Do MK do this?

Also still trying to decide on which engine to have ie 97R1 or later injected R1?

What sort of condition and what sort of mileage and how much money would an Early R1 be?

Or would it make sence to spend more on an later injected R1, power commander etc?

Also do you need a laptop to sort the power commander out?

Cheers for any help with matters.

I fitted an 03 R1 engine and fitted the R1 fuel pump into the MK fuel tank which meant I had the return in the pump and low fuel light working on the R1 clocks.

Not if you use a swirl pot, the return goes to this and a low pressure pump keeps it full.

have a word with Deneo on here he made my tank to my drawing ( which gives more boot space )
but will make to yours if mines your ideal choice
(it has baffles and swirl pop built in)
