I've put a hinge on the bottom of the nose cone but what have people tried for the top, attaching to the rails?
I was thinking of cutting a bit of ally to rivet to the edges of the nose cone. That would give me enough of a lip on the inside to bolt it to the
frame. Seems a bit of an OTT bodge though.
Couple of Aero fastners for me, sunk into th chassis rail.
Most just bolt them into rivnuts in chassis.
I'll show you later ?
We used a piano hinge at the bottom of the nose cone and then used a couple of bolts through the NC return to stop it tipping forward then used a
couple of cable's to restrict swing to prevent it hitting the floor.

self-ejecting Dzus fasteners could be a choice. see how I did it on my site: http://www.viseudesign.com/Sevenesque-07.htm
Thanks everyone. I didn't even think about going sideways rather than bolting down.
ReMan, Love to see what you mean. I'm not down to the meet next week though as I've got to go and hit Germans in Cornwall (its an end of
year tradition, they even bring towels down to put on one end of the battle field before we all get there).
i just used 4mm bolts into rivnuts on the top rail. the bonnet will hold it in place as well.

I just did this at the weekend. My nose has a return all the way around that makes it nice and strong. I am also having to lift it an inch above the
side rail so I made two bits of angle about an inch in height reversed one over the other and fixed them together with Dzus fastners.
The bit with the spring is rivitted through the fibre glass return into a bit of ally, the bit with the captive fastener is rivitted to the top of the
chassis rail. If this doesn'[t make sense let me know and I will get a picture tomorrow
