What seat runners have you chaps used in your Indy? did they need any chopping about?
Cheers
Ben
i used the ones from midland wheels and all i can say is don't do it!
think the ones MK supply are the same ones too.
avoneer used some from a metro and they were far better. they just need chopping off the bottom of the seat. they're about an inch high.
you'll need to modify runners no matter what
tom
Merlin motorsport for me. A straight fit no cutting and fitted to the seat and car in half an hour.
That's after fu**ing about with a set of fiesta ones for 2 weekends.
Are your seatbelt mounts high enough to allow use of runners? I tried a set and would have failed SVA so ended bolt ing the seats directly to the
floor. As long as any driver is the same height as me there is no problem. Or to put it another way the car is made to measure!
Gary
Ours was the same with regards to the SVA with the smallest runners we could find (Metro- need the handle chopping to make narrow enough) and with
Cobra 7 seats we couldn't get the seatbelt angles.
We;ve now taken them out as we only ever really slid the seats forward to store things behind and its a much better driving position lower down.
hi ben
i just fitted a pair of metro runners bit of messing about stripping down the seats dont take long little bit of grinding ect .
easy job just time consuming
simon
dont talk to me about seat runners!
I used Metro runners on the old seats - as above, a minor fiddle to remove from the Metro, but did the job ok once you've cut the handle to reduce the width
I´ve experienced MKs seat runners here -> http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=803 08&page=&contribmessage=none
