MK Fuel Tank & Sender Position!
mike smith1 - 10/2/08 at 05:45 PM

Hi,

As above, thinking about installing a fuel gauge so need to know the position of the sender in the MK Tank to avoid the internal baffle etc.

Need the Dimensions marked A & B, Obviously the centre of the sender would be helpful as shown.

Any one installed one as an "after thought"?? Pics of how it has been done would be good, can i get away with out using a split ring etc?

Cheers Mike Rescued attachment Fuel Tank.jpg

where youve chosen is pretty much excatly where the baffle is (atleast thats where mine was for my in tank pump tank.

i put mine close to the filler.

yes, that's where my baffle is as well. My sender is exactly in the middle of the tank.

the middle it is then!! Will the fitting kit that comes with the sender be enough to seal etc as the tank has not been specifical made to take a sender?

Yes it should be fine.

my baffle is in the center of the tank, so I put my sender like your pic

A dimension is about 10cm

Hi there

Where my baffle was mounted, you cuold see a couple of deformations on the exterior of the tank where it had been welded internally. May be worth a look just to double check where your baffle is.

Cheers
