Clutch pedal stop?
Bluemoon - 18/3/08 at 10:20 PM

Hi all.

Do I need a clutch pedal stop on a CEC? It's a bit of a pain to fit one, as the footwell pannel is curved so the old nut and bolt stop will not work, and I the a bracket on the floor will just flex and probably bend the floor pannel..

Is it realy required as the cable is quite thick, or will the cable eventualy snap??

Thanks

Dan

my clutch pedal hits the bulkhead long before it's run out of travel.

no stop required imo.

Ditto tom.

My pedal hits the bulkhead, but the clutch is disengaged about halfway down. A stop would probably speed up gear changes, but I cant be bothered too fit one at the moment!

I don't recall even production cars having one, usually limited by the clutch travel itself. In general it’s only the throttle that needs a stop to protect the carbs.

Cool will only stick on on the accelerator then, problem solved!
