willwood rear calipers
eddbaz - 19/3/08 at 07:00 PM

Anyone fitted rear willwoods to sierra rear drive,I was told that I neededed 273mm rearr disc, got the brakes and adaptors from rally resign, when fitting the rears using adaptor provided (bk 67 stamped on it) the caliper doesn,t seam to be far enough into the disc, there is about 10mm of the top of the brake pads showing, the fronts I fitted seam perfect.Any ideas?
P.S whats the best way of posting photos,do they need scaling and what is the easiest way to do it. Cheers

I had a very similar problem (in fact both problems) a few days ago. Although not Wilwoods I had Coswroth calipers that wouldn't sit far enough forward on the disc. After alot of messing around with Halfrauds computer I managed to figure out they had given me discs for a later year car which have a shallower collar (not sure if that's the best way to desribe it) whereas the new ones I now have sit about 8mm further back into the centre of the caliper and slider.

Photos - yeah I aint got a clue either!!

P.S. did you manage to get a chance to dig out those photos of the ZX12 mountings??

No picture there Ed. The picture needs to be either online or uploaded into your Locostbuilders photo archive before it can be displayed.

A few options here

These pictures are of eddies brake problem pads do not cover the disc.
Is it the disc size?
Or is it the adaptor bracket?
Or could it be both?
