do i need to keep? mostly just a double check that there's nothing missed on the Mk donor list and is there any other bits (over indy starter kit) that i need to aquire?

There will be lots of things you will need over the basic kit. I have just picked up the De-luxe kit and even then there are bits you need.
If you start with the basic kit, the main things you will have to concider is bodywork, suspension units, internal paneling, seats, fuel tank, lights, and then a host of small parts. I hope this helps you. The Indy is a good kit and there is alot of help available, just ask on here for starters.
