What methods do you fellas use or intend using to prevent foot pedals (clutch and on/off) falling forwards and from travelling too far back and stretching cables?

i'm gonna use bolts so that the end stops are adjustable. like a captive nut so the bolt can move forward and back, and another nut to lock it in the right place.

most folks use the tried and tested method of a bolt with a captive nut in the pedal assembly, which when not under any pressure restes on a suitably reinforces piece of the footwell floor. The bolt gives you adjustability and this method is also used as a back stop too.

I've put some MK pedal assembly pics in my archive. I've fitted a nut and bolt arrangement on the brake pedal to give an adjustable stop on forward travel.

I was thinking about this at the weekend. I'm not sure why MK haven't put the metal tab on the brake pedal on the other 2 pedals really - it would make life easier.

I have come up with the idea shown in the picture. Not particularly elegant I'll admit, but pretty simple.

Not sure why the picture didn't work, but it's in my archive anyway....

MK9R has got some good pics on his site, as mentioned above, he has done for his brake pedal also, which uses a different method.

I think i'll be using "l-shaped" brackets held on by the pedal pivot bolts as per build manual and "red rocket" ( i know there should be pics in someone's archive, just don't know who)

Looked simple and effective in the photo's

I've used drilled bolts to hold both cables and then clamped the cable to the pedal with a length of 15mm ish od tube (bolt through the middle) the tube stops up against the pedal support bracket on the chassis........v simple just like me
