I'm nearing the stage of attaching the Indys bodywork. I just wondered if there is any particular order is best to fit this in to ensure a good
fit. Also, any tips or pointers to getting a good finish?
I'm presuming most jobs around the car can be done with the body attached to the car as its not that intrusive to the main components.

This is how I did it....
1. Fit side panels.
2. Fit scuttle so the rear (dashboard) edge lines up with where the side panels start to narrow.
3. Fit bonnet in alignment with scuttle.
4. Fit nose cone sligned with bonnet and side panels.
5. Fit rear panel which is difficult as it's slightly too wide for the car in practice.
6. Fit rear arches aligned with lower edge or side and rear panels.
7. Feck about for weeks bending and re-bending the wing stays and tryin to align the front cycle wings - not my favouritw part of the build
8. Stand back and congratulate self on producing something that now looks like a fully fledged car then jump in for some stationary
"vroom-vroom" driving action
Same as above for me too
Third vote for that sequence.
Although I must have been lucky and managed to get my wing stays done just once!

And in a related story:
Glue, screw or rivnut side panels?
Also, screw or rivnut brake and fuel line p-clips?
Can tabs for nose, scuttle and bonnet be rivetted onto chassis instead of welded?
If there was one panel i got wrong, it was the back panel, i fixed it first to the two short bars at the top just behind the rollover bar, i should have fixed it first on the bottom bar going round the back.
Brilliant. Will hopefully have some pics of it to show after the weekend.
Oneone got good images of the fitting in there gallery so I can take a nosey.
