Hi all,
I tried to fit my rear brake lines on the weekend and for a few reasons I couldn't. The only thing that I'm stuck on is how to fit the
flexi hose for the rear wheel cylinders.
It looks as though it wont fit between the cylinder and the upright?
Any suggestions, I was thinking I may need new cylinders.
I did mine like this, There are other ways as well.
Steve
Isn't there even room for a Banjo fitting? even when its tightened up??
Maybe have to connect the banjo first before fitting the drum assemby
Both very good ideas
I may try and make up a small copper hose like to top one.
Thanks guys.
Make sure the pipe is new stuff, as the bends are tight and the pipe goes hard if you play with it too much, "Oooh er missus"
you get some short lenths of copper brake pipe for drums with the kit
Ditto Steve's install and you get the small lengths of copper as part of the brake line kit from MK.

Word of Warning
I fitted the copper pipe the same as stevec and it failed the SVA. The man said that it wasnt flexible enough. You need to replace the copper for
flexi or get a 600mm new flexi hose
Paul
Did you bracket it? I wouldnt have thought it needs to flex running between two fixed points on the same part of the chassis. How did you overcome the problem?

Sorry your probably correct as I have rear discs so the caliper does move slightly. The simple fix would be for MK to supply a 600mm flexi
Perhaps my tester was being ultra efficient and he just didnt like copper to flexi to copper
Paul
I'm guessing that he just doesn't like rigid connections to moving parts.
it would appear that i'm missing two small pipes then? Think I'll be calling MK tommorow.
