Ok, I'm in the process of sourcing parts for my next engine upgrade to the Smart, Yes a bike engine. I've seen a few remote chain diffs but
wanted the correct one for the job. I've got a Mini engine already in my car so the pot joints are the same as the Mini ATB diffs I've seen
on Quaife, but are the output shafts the same distance apart?
Any advice welcomed (that includes engine choice on a budget!)
I think the diff assembly will be further towards the passenger side of the vehicle so the drive shaft lengths would need adjusting.
Have a look here for more info on using a mini diff.

You have U2U!
You haven't got the space to directly drive a chain diff as you have said, you need to offset drive it, you need a jackshaft and heavily offset
driveshafts to make this work
