Looking for a speedo cable for a fiat ducato van and struggling to find a good parts supplier online, any recomendations

Are you sure you need a speedo cable? they are really prone to the plastic drive on the box failing, the speedo then dosen't work and its often assumed that it's a failed cable. Just though it might be best to let you know, just in case.

I pulled the cable inner out from the guage end, the cable was broken, so i assume its the cable!

i've not removed the bit that goes into the box, can you tell if its failed by removing that?
