No idea about the one in your link.

Far more expensive, but can highly recommend DTUK boxes.

MY old VX Astra 1.9 cdti went on the rollers as standard with 152bhp. With the addition of a DTUK box and NO OTHER mods, it produced 198bhp!

I'd guess that's one of the old 'resistor across the air temp sensor' mod boxes that make the ecu think that the incoming air is colder, therefore tweaks the fuelling to give extra power. IMHO they're snake oil because the lambda sensor will surely detect that it's running rich and adjust the fuelling back to where it should be?

i have some tuning box on my van a waste of time go get a custom remap you will be a happy man

Proper tuning boxes will give more power but the odds of that one working must be slim. But a little tweaking goes a long way twice in the last week I have been stuck behind 59 plate diesels fitted with tuning boxes the give away was truly appalling thick black smoke.

Must admit, I've never seen the point? If you buy a diesel, it's to save money and get good torque for your pounds. If you need performance, then you get a performance car. It's like the kids that remove the baffles from the bikes to make it go faster', all it does is shag the engine quicker!

Well thats my view anyhow ... I'll get my coat

While the above is true would you say no to an extra 10% power or 10% economy dependant on which way you drive?

I did that on my Suzuki AP50. It makes it much noisier as well. Blowing the engine up every other week seemed like a small price to pay when I was 16 for such a large improvement!

Its all down to the car you are putting it in and what you are using it for, If you have ever driven and towed with a Land Rover TD5 for example you will know the difference and benefit a good tuning box will give you. The transformation makes for a much better car to drive and you do on some occasion get a better return on your fuel economy.

Cheaper box's aren't worth the packaging they arrive in so it is always good sense to buy from a well known company with a proven track record in tuning box's.
