Engine on a pallet from Scotland to Hertfordshire
scudderfish - 31/12/11 at 02:06 PM

I've bought a tasty 4.3 V8, but it is too far away for me to collect in person. I thought I found a company who would ship it (and even supply the pallet and wrap it), but they list engines and anything contaminated with oil on their prohibited list. Does anyone know a good delivery company that will ship a used engine on a pallet?

Regards,
Dave

LOL... I was going to offer to pallet it for you if it was nearby, but I'm afraid that Innellan is in a different time-zone!

You might be better getting Para Handy to ship it to you on the Vital Spark

I've used National Pallets to do this before. Shipped an engine from Coozer up near Sunderland down to South Bucks. No problems at all. Was about £40 IIRC. Note that you probably only need a 'quarter pallet' if it's packed well.

I love this website

It's a half pallet (1mx1.2mx1.1m) and I estimate it weighs about 200kg. It needs to move from PA23 7SS to AL5 1QX by no later than 8th Jan. Send me a u2u if this is what you can do.

Dave

I normally use ETS Ltd, but they're coming out quite pricey on this one. It's undoubtedly the pick-up location that's pushing the price up!
